How to use OKRs and Atomic Habits Systems to achieve Personal Goals
OKRs are widely used by companies, in a nutshell, it is a lightweight framework to communicate, set and track goals.
I heard some people using it to track also goals in their personal life and I also want to give it a try. In this article, I will share how I am doing it and maybe inspire other people to do something similar.
OKRs of the year
As the name says, your objectives for the year can help you to bring more structure and better ways to track and visualize your new Year’s Resolution.
Remember that the Objective should be qualitative and something inspiring ideally should be inspiring enough to make you wake up in the morning and be engaged in the objective, with purpose.
Also, the Key Result (KR) should be quantitative, for example:
Objective: Continusoly Learn
KR: Read 12 books this year
Enter Atomic Habits Systems
There is another level that is coming from Atomic Habits by James Clear that can help here.
You can create systems using this:
“I will [ACTION] at [TIME] in [LOCATION].”
